By far, the latest ruling for "use" indicates Summoning, activating effects, attacking, or changing battle positions. (see Prohibition's rulings since it got reprinted with PSCT) Discarding for costs won't count as "use" under this context, and it will override what the games demonstrated. Thus YGOPro would be right in you not taking any damage by discarding the Spell taken by Graverobber. I suppose even attempting to activate will also fall under the context of "use". Devpro is better for playing online against opponents. Percy is better for testing by yourself or when you just want to play vs AI.Įven if the activation gets negated, you still did "use" the card in creating a Chain Link with it, and thus will take the 2000 damage (not counting any effect modifiers) regardless.
